Leadership
David Martin — Founder and Principal
Enterprise technology leadership, healthcare and pharmacy technology, architecture, and hands-on engineering.
Introduction
David Martin is Founder and Principal of D W Martin, LLC, an enterprise technology leader with 30+ years of experience across healthcare and pharmacy technology, platform transformation, data and integration architecture, and software engineering. He founded the company to combine that experience with modern engineering practice.

Career perspective
His career has moved between two things that are often kept apart: responsibility for technology at an enterprise level, and direct engineering. He has represented technology during an acquisition, led the teams supporting multi-site operations, owned architecture and delivery oversight — and written the Python that moved the data.
That range is deliberate. It means an assessment is grounded in what can actually be built, and an implementation is grounded in why the business needed it.
Healthcare and pharmacy technology
Much of his career has been in healthcare technology. Earlier work supported US Oncology — oncology technology, physician-practice technology, clinical applications and interfaces — and his career then moved into pharmacy: Patient Assistance Program, specialty, and mail-order operations, pharmacy management systems, pharmaceutical program operations, and healthcare data.
Most recently in that career, he led multi-site pharmacy platform consolidation and cloud migration at McKesson and CoverMyMeds. All of this is professional experience gained under prior employment and brought to D W Martin, LLC, not work performed by the company.
Architecture and engineering
He works directly in Python, data engineering, Snowflake, cloud and integration architecture, and modern web and data applications, and uses AI-assisted engineering as a normal part of delivery under architecture and review.
Current direction
At D W Martin, LLC he leads consulting and engineering engagements, and is developing the company's Intelligence as a Service and AI Agency as a Service pillars — including Healthcare Intelligence, its first commercial Intelligence Domain.
